Be the bouquet…
One of my favorite things about my wedding day was that carrying around a lush bouquet of gorgeous flowers all day long wasn’t just accepted, but *expected* of me. There were lots of other reasons why that day was incredible (of course!), but having a giant bunch of beautiful blooms as an accessory just made me feel so ecstatically happy.
As Mary Oliver wrote, joy is not meant to be a crumb. So why should we limit adorning ourselves with fresh flowers to just a handful special occasions? Marking the significance of big events is definitely important, but why not bring back pairing fresh flowers with whatever we’re wearing, even if it’s just a random weekday?
Blossoms as corsages, tacked onto belts, pinned on as boutonnieres, tucked into your hair — here’s to being your own bouquet, in whatever way, on any old day!
Xoxo,
Kristen

And if you’d like a copy of this dahlia postcard file to print at home or at your local print shop, just shoot us an email! Hoping we can all usher in a new chapter for our democracy this November - one that’s focused on progress, decency, integrity, opportunity, and respect.
